The real Telok Ayer Lau Pasat was best, along with the old hawker centres on both sides of Singapore River, the one behind Standard Chartered and the one infront Empress Place. All gone. No imitation can replace.

No one was injured in the fire, which occurred at about 3.30pm. The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
The centralised ventilation duct and part of the roof were burned during the fire.
MediaCorp understands the food court operator immediately cut off gas and electricity supply to stalls in the affected area.
However, two food stalls behind Wendy's Restaurant were still affected.
Before firefighters arrived, some members of the public tried to put out the fire using a fire extinguisher and an internal hose reel.
Firefighters managed to control the fire within five minutes of their arrival.
Stallholders said business was not affected much as the fire occurred past lunch hour.
They said they hope to resume business as soon as possible.
you see Lee Kuan Yew needs the fire....first what the fuck an old man lights up the YOUTH Olympic FIRE for? All Olympic fire are lighted by current or past gold medallist. Why a YOUTH Olympic is lighted by a old fuck? Why.
Now OLD market which by its name you know is OLD and LKY is OLD so he after the YOUTH was set on fire, the old must be on fire to balance.
And what's more it happens near the eve of his birthday?
Fuck what if he is reaching 88?
What if he is approaching 90?
Worse, what if 100? Then 110?
How many places of historical sites will be on fire to prolong his life?
