obviously climatic changes are going to be worst when mother nature is being insulted without mercy for so many years.

Probably it would be cheaper and easier to build dykes than engaged in all those carbon reducing programmes asked of developing countries that will slow down their economies and have them stay at status quo compared to the developed economies.

The main reason for Thailand floods is the release of overflowing water from their 17 huges dams - the water from these dams are enough to flood the entire Thailand and this is exactly what is happening. And the reason for that was the Irrigation Department mismanaged the water level ie did not make allowance for freak weather pattern.

Singapore is not sinking. The guys managing the water level at Marina Barrage is sleeping - similar to Thailand but on a much smaller scale.
