Latest straw poll results ...

Thanks , but I rather stick to the tried and proven. The system has worked well... if you look around us, you 'll understand how fortunate we are to have a good, honest and hardworking government.

If the problems in the north were to befall on us, we 'll be doomed.

We'll see investors and business people fleeing the country. At times, we may not understand that we are highly dependent on commerce and trade for our economy. If the government cannot sustain and stabilize the economy and thus ensuring good livelihood to its citizens, what else is there to talk ?

What era liao? Still using this kind of tactics to scare people. More investors more business but you failed to mention more jobs for foreigners and NS for Sinkies.

as PM Lee said, but he has said that he has Singaporeans' interests at heart and they will always remain the core of the nation.

Yeah right. Can he calculate the cost of emotional stress the common folks are burdened with as a result of the influx of FTs?

By the way, how about reinstating the estate duties? You missed my post #14?

Most sinkies fear the loss of PAP more than the loss of their God/gods. The hard truth is that most sinkies equate PAP to deity-like status. Without PAP, Singapore is DOOMED! DOOMED!

Sinkies are scared enough as it is already without Ah Gong. Now, you are asking them to forsake PAP too? You may be asking too much from sinkies.

Vast majority of sinkies are not as reckless as you. They will vote for PAP in greater numbers, hoping that more PAP candidates can make up for Ah Gong's departure.

What era ? This is happening in the north today...even as we speak ... Ringgit is now over $4 to 1 US dollar.

Wah, really hah. Now I very scare. :D I m crapping now. :D

It sounds like scaremongering ... but if a freak result like KJ and his motley crew win AMK , I worry $SGD will be $4 to 1 US dollar too. :)

LATEST POLLS :

SINGAPORE - Which countries are safer than Singapore? Only Switzerland.

That's right, Singapore is the second safest country in the world, according to a new study conducted by ValuePenguin, a New York consultancy firm.

The study compared seven "data points" - life expectancy, assaults, thefts, traffic deaths, police to population ratio, carbon dioxide emissions and population - from 106 countries to arrive at the conclusion.

Switzerland, with just seven violent crimes per 100,000 people, scored 37 (the lower the better) in the study.

Singapore, which the firm called "the most environmentally-friendly country among the top five", scored 42 in the study.

NEVER TAKE SAFETY AND SECURITY FOR GRANTED.

VOTE FOR PAP... the brand that is with you for 50 years and many more SAFE and SECURE years to come.

KNN, this type of lan jiao rubbish also dare to publish. Read here for real life story lah, you chee bye fucker ... no wonder you are a fool.

I stayed in Australia for one year, and nothing happened. I stayed out late there, and nothing bad happened.

I come back home to Singapore, and was minding my own business and this happened. I think Singapore is not safe anymore. How can it be when there are all these hooligans around?

Now I finally understand why a number of Singaporeans are against the influx of these sort of people. I didn't use to be. Now, I really don't feel safe with this sort of people.

Safe in Singapore?... lan jiao li gar.

Since 2011, the PAP government has controlled the intake of foreigners. They have listened to the voice of the people and responded. All these policy changes also came at a cost... the economy shrank and the growth has slowed to 2% to 3% growth annually. Businesses are suffering for lack of foreign workers. Workers are getting older and retiring sooner. Fewer young workers join the workforce to replace those retired. In 2020, the situation will be worse with only 1 new worker replacement for 2 workers retired.

It is not easy to find the right balance to both strong economic growth and good social dynamics, as PM Lee said, but he has promised that he will put Singaporeans' interests first and they will always remain the core of the nation.

The Opps can only throw stones at the PAP's policy, but they cannot show how they can manage a town council better than PAP's.

'.....they listened to the people....'!! Please lah! They reversed course because they received some tight slaps from the WP

You are one lucky chap not to get into any trouble in Australia.... must be a sinkie then.

Till we vote them out, we can only guess how much the Lees have under their names.

Don't worry about that. AMK don't make up a Singapore. The only thing we lose is a useless clown prince when it happens. I m fine with that. More Ang Mohs will visit Singapore when the value of Sing dollars dropped. I am more than happy. Remember! Ang Moh is the BEST!

It is true the PAP took it quite hard from the 2011 election results even though they won by a emphatic 60% margin and they did respond to the voice of the people.

I am glad you mention they reverse course which means that they have done the right thing.

I am so glad u agree with me. PAP reversed course because of WP (voice of the people). Without those slaps, they wouldn't change course and we will be 10m by now. We need more WP in Parliament.

They can throw stones for all I care, care to reply my post #14?

You gave too much credit to the Opps. And I am afraid the Opps also thinks so... and it is no surprise to see the arrogance in WP today. I don't see a difference in attitude between the WP today and the PAP of 2011 GE.

But the PAP of today is more contrite, willing to listen to the people and more willing to work harder than ever to earn the trust of the people.

Hope everything is okay with the family. Let me know if you need my help.

PAP did very well when they were opposition in 1958 ;););)

The Opposition parties were able to wrest government from the PAP. A coalition government is formed.
