So PAP MP Vikram talks a lot about insinuations and now he is considering suing TOC for insinuating him of not caring of poor. But wait, what kinds of insinuation is he trying to make when he said the following in parliament?

"Maybe even the Nigerian scheme required you to put $10,000 upfront. But Mr Chen's scheme does not even require a short-term provision. It is not even a deficit for one year. No, no, no. It will pay for itself because it is an investment. So I would like him to explain how he expects these schemes to pay for themselves because, if they do, I will wholeheartedly support it."

Mr Chen should have asked him to clarify this in parliament.

Goh Meng Seng

He is clearly implying that Chen's suggestion is equivallent to Nigeria Scam. No question about it.

Clever by half? Vikram Nair thought he was smart, smooth and witty and came out with the Nigerian joke to belittle CSM only to land in a quagmire of his own doing. Even if interpreted wrongly, the consequence is miniscule, the impact is hardly noticeable. His reaction however is beyond belief and certainly over the top. Pure intimidation or pure embarrassment. Which is which.

First it was Devan Nair, then it was Hri Kumar Nair and now Vikram Nair. These guys come from a minority group within the Indians yet seem steal the thunder for all the wrong reasons.

Vikram's remarks were made in Parliament, in which case Vikram is granted protection against civil liability based on parliamentary privilege. So if Vikram sues and wins, he wins. If Vikram loses, he can claim parliamentary privilege ? Is this a case of 包吃

Every mother-son-PAP-MP seems to be "taken out of context" or "misunderstood" the moment they open their mouths these days. Makes one wonder if the failure lies in their communication skills or the public's understanding skills.

I think we have arrived in the "Bad Dose of Government" stage that the PAP promised some time ago.

Mr. Nair, you must focus on the word "investment". Like the investments of Temasek, GIC and R&D, they don't have to make money in the short term but it will make money in the long run, according to the expectations of the PAP. If the PAP can give money to Temasek to invest, how come cannot give money to invest in social capital since they are all investments?

In addition, where will the payouts come from? Just like the PAP hosting WTO and YOG, the PAP says that Singapore has reaped tremendous benefits. Does Mr. Nair need to ask the PAP to trace each dollar spent directly to the dollars earned?

Yes, he is the one. After "humiliating" Gerald Giam in Parliament, he thought he could do the same against Chen Show Mao, who is a better lawyer than Vikram himself.
Agree. Young punk with little life and professional experience wants to lecture someone who is older and has many times more of those things than him. Thinking he is on the side with more in numbers, he is eager to claim credit by helping the bosses to take on the opposition members one by one. Don't know why, he looks blur and somehow appears to be in a daze or looking blank every time I see his picture in the papers. He is trying to catch attention but I think he shot himself at his own foot, if not the party's foot. Blatant use of defamation suit or threats of using them in silencing political and dissenting voices will only draw more criticisms from the international community. Furthermore, this is just discussion and analysis of views and counter-arguments etc, no reason to start hurling defamation suits here and there. If this guy is made a minister , we are finished.

Vivian Balakrishan also another "Neh". All these Nairs are so fucked up and wanting attention from their master, they are the great scammers in internet world. Straits Times already reported that Vikram did use the word "Nigeria Scam" to counter CSM, why not Vikram go sue Shit Times too.

Quickum Nair is delusional in trying to impress people that he has a latent "Lee" between his full name. The old fuck loved black pussies?

At the most you can say it misinterpretes your illustration, but misrepresentation is a different thing and is intentional which I do not think E Jay is. So many have read it the same way. And even then misrepresentation is not defamatory.

Vikram also said WP's ministerial proposal is "the same" as the PAP's. Is that defamatory too? Should he ask WP to sue him? That, his misrepresentation was intentional, unlike this case.

He just brought the bar of defamation down to even below that of Lee Kuan Yew's. Congrats to him.

I think his point is that the returns from investing in people (aka social capital) is not tangible. The silly thing is he somehow decided to compare that to a Nigerian scam, which is bad analogy. The frequency of this "foot in mouth" syndrome in PAP MPs is astounding. This shows that some of the MP like Vikram Nair and Baey Yam Keng are truly lack common sense and public speaking skills.

This fuckard is too garang.

Garang is too good a word to describe such people. He is obviously sucking balls... no substance in his debate, deliberately speaking quickly and in convoluted sentences to hide behind a smokescreen of bullshit.
