Late 30s and Still Rejected: The Harsh Reality of Upskilling in Singapore

Private condo owners are generally snobbish & rude people .. 1 example is LCB (an old lady used to be in this forum) I am wondering if one is jobless, cash savings depleted & no money to pay their monthly mortgages to the bank .. what will happen ?
We must not tar all condo owners in that manner. It is equivalent to claiming that most HDB residents are low class and uncouth.

The bank would repossess the condo unit and the occupants would be out on the streets in no time.

Huh. Why old lady visit here?

If one is jobless and can’t pay the bank, they either sell their condo quickly or see whether they daring enough to continue to own the bank money

Some Condo owners can be very snobbish like abit abit complain abt little children crying or things like neighbour look across from the opposite block. All kinds of lame ppl.

True. My classmates n I have seen that before usually it’s maybe they gotten their condos ard 20 years ago n by new would have fully paid for their condo becos most bank loans take around 20 to 25 years

A majority of the newer condo developments with 50+ people are under bank loans and some of them lost their jobs and they were not happy with their situation because the bank loan they are taking is much higher and have ongoing school kids likely in Uni which adds to another level of cost

Even HDB loans these days are higher compared to someone who bought their flats 20 years ago due to higher property prices

I think it’s comparing the housing policies of 2 very different times n maybe you n your neighbours bought your properties many years ago when it is at its lower or lowest compared to someone who bought them in the last 8 years or so where the prices have increased so much

Now would you imagine if you have an adult child who is getting married and buying a new condo development, would u see yourself paying the that price?
Heng … moi has no chewren

Who's that snobbish and rude LCB you are referring to? That one from Jurong East? Owning an old condo in a HDB slump heartland is nothing to be proud of.

An upstairs neighbour from hell hastened my family's departure from our HDB unit to a condo in 2000, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Imagine paying for a condo 10 - 15 years later at SG's runaway prices for private residences.

Yes that ginfreely the LCB

She always said that other people did not work hard cos she stayed in private condo .. she liked to yell at people & often got fired by her employers

I think her last job probably in her late 40s & when she went for interviews at her 50s the employers often farted into her face
