PAP is now in a dilemma; it is choking on its own vomit. It started when it threw Singapore's doors open to foreigners. Now the situation is chaotic. I was told that even senior grassroots leaders are openly voicing their dissent at informal gatherings and meetings. However, PAP leaders, as usual, are in denial mode and are taking cosmetic steps to appease the locals eg giving preference to children of citizens for school enrollment.

Today I was having coffee with my kakis when one of them pointed out a ST report which highlighted an India India owing a first class bungalow in Bukit Timah area. It cost him about $28m several years ago. What is his contribution to Singapore? Did he serve NS? Where was he when we were going through rough times? I am not being a racist here. It is an open secret that many foreign Chinese, Indians, Indons etc are owning top properties in Singapore. Does this not affect locals? Very soon we will not be able to own cars and those cars on our well-built roads will all belong to foreigners as they are ones who cannot afford COEs.

I hope the WP is doing research on the mounting grouses and highlight them in Parliament.

Dear Brother, this Indians are from the Most Corrupted and Filthiest Part of Planet Earth. World's Biggest Toilet - India.

A Nation where Peopkle drink their own Urine for health purposes, UUURRRRGGGHHHHH

This is clearly a Case of Money-Laundering openly.

I will start an investigation and find out who this stinker of an Indian is related too.

I am sure to some politicians.

If the murderous "prince and princess" from NEPAL - the Land of the Gurkhas, can be here as invitees of our Government, why not this 28 million dollar potential property owner in a prestige residential area. But better warn him not to shit openly.........

My beloved Singapore is a haven for such people.

I know who are here, still living (a hint is Maldives Nasir and many more). I will expose their names on this site, if the situation warrants...

Meanwhile please dont't bring in or out of $INGAPOrE more then $30,000 dollars as you will risk being classified as a money-launderer.

I laugh at those sign-boards when I leave the Airport.

Many papers will be glad if I write an article of such nature (with names of fugitives like Bapak Lim Sio Liong, etc...) on their papers. The signing of an Extradition Treaty between Indon and Singapore is known to everyone...

I am tempted to try. I have already given the info to my friends in other countries. The moment something happen to me here then the whole world will come to know about this "squeaky-clean" republic.

theres alot of ways to bring in money to singapore without anyone knowing it . you can just buy a expensive timepiece over in your country say worth 50k , wear it on your wrist . the moment you reach singapore you can sell it ;) . of course you must standby a buyer before you reach singapore .

wealthy tycoons from indonesia have been buying up some of the most expensive landed multi-acre properties on the east coast for decades. many have been given pr after they transferred funds from indon to sg before and during the jakarta riots. sg is a refuge for many with millions to deposit in sg. it's not a secret. only losers, the ill-advised and the poor treat it as a secret and as though it's another conspiracy.

That buyer must be another money-launderer who will buy that article with his 'dirty" money. Having purchased it, his money become "clean".

Welcome to Uniquely Singapore. Public urinators and shitters from Incredible India loves this place.

So much of property in Little India, including some hotels are theirs...

First of all, exactly how many landed properties do foreigners own?
So whom did these foreigners bought these properties from?

So what if some foreigner bought the property. The seller, a Singaporean, is making big bucks and chances are that the seller will invest and spend the $ in Singapore. What is wrong with that? Meanwhile that foreigner is transferring that $XM in wealth (whether it is made in India/China, Russia who cares) into the pockets of a local. That Singapore will likely use the proceeds to pick up 4 condos (again good for the locals selling the condos to him), one for each of his 2 children, 1 to stay in and 1 to rent out.

Just like HDB flats - the resale market is hot, isn't that good for locals that can buy cheap directly from HDB and then cash out 5 years later by selling it to someone that cannot buy direct from HDB. That local cashes out and use the $ as down payment on some private condo.

Also there is nothing secret about it. That foreigner is likely a PR and we all know PR status very easy to get - just invest $X in Singapore and they grant you the PR. $ into pocket of Singaporean = Good. Money sucked up my Gov = bad because it is often reinvested overseas.

This is much better that situation in Sentosa where Gov owns all the land the the profits go right into their coffers and then invested overseas.

I agree. Most of the ones I know, who own landed properties, are Chinese-Indonesian tycoons who own conglomerates in back Indonesia. They sure live very lavishly in SG with private security inside their properties. One family I know has Rolls Royce, Bentley, Mercedes S-Class AMG, Lambo, and Ferrari inside their garage as their car collection.

They are not the typical corrupt Indon politicians who launder their money in SG that most people here think.
