PAP is now in a dilemma; it is choking on its own vomit. It started when it threw Singapore's doors open to foreigners. Now the situation is chaotic. I was told that even senior grassroots leaders are openly voicing their dissent at informal gatherings and meetings. However, PAP leaders, as usual, are in denial mode and are taking cosmetic steps to appease the locals eg giving preference to children of citizens for school enrollment.
Today I was having coffee with my kakis when one of them pointed out a ST report which highlighted an India India owing a first class bungalow in Bukit Timah area. It cost him about $28m several years ago. What is his contribution to Singapore? Did he serve NS? Where was he when we were going through rough times? I am not being a racist here. It is an open secret that many foreign Chinese, Indians, Indons etc are owning top properties in Singapore. Does this not affect locals? Very soon we will not be able to own cars and those cars on our well-built roads will all belong to foreigners as they are ones who cannot afford COEs.
I hope the WP is doing research on the mounting grouses and highlight them in Parliament.
