Hiya was wondering if any of you out there knows of any good skin doctor. I have this reccuring rash at the shin of both my legs that appears quite often for nearly over a year. Been seeing quite a few doctors and all they gave are antiseptic creams and moisturising lotion to apply with no improvement just temporary relief. They have all told me that it is white spots, ringworm, heat rash, enzema and 1 chinese sing sian told me too much toxins in my blood and wrote a long list of herbs to buy and wash everyday at affected area. So any bro out there know of any good skin doctor?
Thanks

Buy Zyrtec(take it once a day I think) from any pharmacy or hospital pharmacy(cheaper) and also Dermasone 0.05% cream to apply twice a day. Skin allergy may take time to cure but you need to ensure a strict regimen.

Doctors will tell you same thing as there is not much they can do. Rashes affect people in different ways, some badly that affect their day to day activities. Some people can also be so badly affected it affects their mental state.

If necessary, try and prevent the rash from coming into contact with your pants by covering it with a gauze when using long pants, but it is best to expose it. The material may rub against your skin and aggravate the condition. Make sure you wash the affected area before applying the cream.

A bit expensive, but a good dermatologist can be found at Marsiling.

The doctor prescribes fantastic topical steroid skin cream.

Nope never been inside hotel 81 b4 but did stayed in 1 of these budget hotels a few years back when my house was being renovated.

Just kidding brother. Have you tried asking the national skin centre? I have a colleague of 6 years who have similar rashes. For her, it spread throughout the body. Until today, the problem is still there.

Sounds like you have been diagnosed of fungal rash (not uncommon in humidity, sharing towels etc). Any GP or dermotalogist will prescribe external creams like Daktacort (with steroids for anti-itch, but go easy with applying thinly). If no steroids, it's Daktarin. Symptoms over in 3 weeks. Daktacort must be prescribed, Daktarin available over the counter in any pharmacy. If bad fungal attacks, doc will prescribe a dose of oral.

As per NHS:

Hi TS,

Go to a GP much cheaper. Of coursenif you need a skin specialist, I can recommend a good one (but very expensive hor!)

Anyway go to Frontier Medical Associates Clinic. They have a good cream and moisturizer (specially prepared for this chain of GP clinic). Effective and cheap!

LL Cheong Skin and Laser Clinic at Mt E strongly recommended. Nice lady. Husband also specialist. Live in a terrace house in Seletar Hills and both drive humble 1.6 Japanese cars.

Half correct, I think. If you don't want to wait, then see as private patient, which costs more.
But if you get letter from Polyclinic, then the queue is longer. Depending on how itchy (!!) you are, seeing as a private patient enables you to see the top 5 or 6 specialists there. Don't have tgo wait for more than two days for appointment, and certain days, they close late. Appointments can be made via phone or email - they are very good at getting back to you.

Friend went through them and very happy; they have full range for treatments, including phototherapy.
