KNN the sun is 149,597,887 km from earth thus you can see the sun anyway but the moon is 384,403 km from the earth and
The mainland of Singapore measures 50 kilometres (31 mi) from east to west and 27 kilometres (17 mi) from north to south with 193 kilometres (120 mi) of coastline.

question to ponder : why you cannot see the moon in certain location of sg island whereas you can see in certain location when it was not covered by the clouds ?

damn those trees and high rise buildings...

KNN considering when is not blocked by trees or high rise buildings (cleared viewing angle) and also considering the distant is so many times the distant of sg you will realise not everywhere can see the moon KNN

how about the lunar phase? are we looney?

KNN 1 possible reason is that when my uncle sees it and while he travel to another location it has been blocked by cloud so need 2 lunee to verify - can you reach out the sky to see if you can see now KNN

Too many variables and unknowns to consider.
Sun and moon - size matters = directly proportional; distance matters = inversely proportional;
The composition and density of the atmosphere between viewer and star;
The quality and quantity of the light source at time of sight;
The DTP of viewer
The condition of the eyes and/or brain of the viewer

For example:

What do you see why you are underground?
What do you see when there is a big, fat PAP LEEder standing in front of you?

JUNK Food for Thought:

Does my answer remind you of one particular group of people in Singapore?
No domain knowledge and yet still trying to act smart
Smoking to complicate a simple solution
The arrogant and incompetent white-horse LEEders

just for you, took the lift to the highest floor, moon is now due west.

KNN can we safely say every sinkie will see that moon at that shape during the time we saw it if they are not blocked by anything ? KNN

I don't know, would have to check in with others :laugh::laugh::laugh:

What's the function of the moon other than to reflect some light from the sun and shine into earth at night?
