if all makes sense when you see his name. Don't kiss his ass also gets offended.

Since early last year he has felt lonely as many of his members walked out and joined the NSP. If he looks in the mirror he will clearly see the "divide".

Went Hong Lim Park to support him but was very disappointed. Will never support him again.

Probably the most erudite opposition politician in Singapore (Chen Show who?). A pity though that he's not as savvy with PR as he's with economics. :(

Agree. He is better than any of those minstars clowns we are pay millions in salaries.

This is the basic irony of the man. The more people see and hear him, the more they are repulsed. So many years spent in the UK shows up in a very ugly snobbery. Yet he feels he can be a politician?

No. I dislike them but I am not repulsed by them. But when key members of a party suddenly walk out on their leader just weeks before a general election and en masse join a competing opposition party, that tells me that many of them were repulsed.

Either he has no friends or his friends dare not tell that he is a political lemon. He has singlehandedly destroyed his party as evidenced by 2 mass exits of members. It tells voters that he does not understand simple human dynamics, poor EQ and not a good listener. Frankly he would do better in SDP where he can be a powerful voice, issues driven and where others can provide the leadership and parliamentary representation.

A relative of mine stays in CCK. When she saw KJ contesting, she decided to switch her vote to PAP.

You'd be surprised, KJ has plenty of friends, middle upper class types whose biggest worry is the dog will not eat its chow, and who cannot care two hoots about politics.

KJ will hate SDP because he cannot be the leader beside CSJ. In fact, for the same reason he will hate every other party except his own.

Bro, sometimes you have set aside common sense, your emotions and just vote anyone who is not a PAP candidate. It is to send a message. It is also the same point that GY made. The PAP has threatened Singaporeans by the take it or leave it approach where we have poor PAP candidates riding on the coat tails of more acceptable members.

It is the only way to force the PAP to start addressing the problem.

You do realise that people voted out the PAP and did not vote in the WP.

This tends to be a basic problem with many in the opposition. Anyone who is highly qualified automatically thinks he is entitled to a leadership role. Instead, I would rather see medical doctors, lecturers, architects and other professionals join, in numbers, the opposition as mere rank-and-file members and do a lot of grunge work, like regularly selling the party newspaper, giving out fliers and knocking on doors. I think when we get to that point then we will see a major advance in political development.

Yes and no.

Opposition needs rank and file members to do the nitty gritty. Most impt quality is ability to commit time, and ability to communicate with people of all walks of life. No need for high intelligence, just good EQ.

Contesting elections on the oppo ticket requires more. It requires presentability and sellability. You can be poor with people in real life, but if you handle the media well and can light up the stage on rally nights, you are automatically judged a 1st class candidate.

People often confuse the two roles.

There are those of us who can think through the issue in those terms, and in fact I subscribed to such a view at the last GE and the ones before that. However, I am not sure whether I will stick to that view at the next GE. Being angry with the PAP does not mean I will vote for any opposition party.

"Forum over. MSM avoiding talking to me even as they interview
WP and NSO respresentatives. The approved divide"

Kenneth you should be happy they are trying to put you in a freezer.
Ostracizm is a common tactic to make you conform if you are that gullible.
It only proves one thing, something that you do best, got "their" attention
and "they" are sored about it. It's a benchmark indicator, you should congratulate
yourself. Try hit harder next time with what you are doing and see the respond.
Since "they" choose to communicate this way then a qui pro quo respond would be apt.
If you can be easily manipulated by "them" then you've let J.B. down big time.
Always remember, J.B. has been through more than what you are experiencing right now!
J.B. would be proud to see you in Parliament. Work hard, you are almost there.
Let nothing distract you! Good Luck!
