白姓男子為首的詐騙集團前年底在南韓濟州島成立機房遭南韓警方查獲，並在南韓判刑3年至6年確定，涉案51名台灣人都在南韓監獄服刑，其中22人因服刑期滿或獲假釋，5日才獲釋被遣送回台，當時涉案人在吃到刑事局提供的排骨便當時，大聲歡呼「終於不用吃泡菜了，還是台灣好」，還向檢警吐苦水，南韓監獄低溫冷到零下18度，一周只有一天熱水，「根本是非人待遇」。
據調查，22名詐欺犯在5日下午4時許，被南韓警方遣送到桃園國際機場，涉案人被刑事局電偵大隊第二隊帶回台中駐地詢問，當時就提供嫌犯排骨便當，未料便當送到時，涉案人齊聲歡呼，還向警方表示「終於可以不用吃泡菜了」，更說在南韓監獄服刑時，從早到晚的菜色「都是紅色的」，看到就想吐。
