On May 19, 2023, a video was posted to the YouTube channel of the Lebanon-base Mayadeen Network showing a young girl named Maria, who is the daughter of a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad member named Iyad Al-Hassani who was killed in the recent Gaza conflict, conveying a message to the “cowardly” Jews. Maria said that she is stronger than the Jews, that her father had been granted his wish for martyrdom, that he is now happy in Paradise, and that the Jews will melt in Hell. Maria also said that the Palestinians will pray in Jerusalem and that they will keep fighting and bombing the Jews until Palestine in liberated.
