JB's loudhailer call for afternoon prayer (Dhuhr) can be heard at Woodlands Waterfront Park, why is religion rituals so important to malays?

islam needs to be modernised. otherwise it's perpetually stuck where it was centuries ago....most if not all religions have moved forward from violence to peace... islam seems to be stuck there forever

Rituals doesnt make you a good person.

According to the forum muslim scholar loofy, a muslim who doesn't miss giving zekat and follow all the rituals is a good person and credible. That is the core criteria muslim scholars use to authenticate the authors of hadiths. Very scientific and rigorous according to him?

Modernised will imply islam is not perfect. The belief is ISLAM is perfect and uncorrupted, so cannot change by even 0.0001%.

THey started off as modern but eventually slowed and regress due to evolution into a religion. It did not startof as a religion.
