Consumers may be astonished at the retail price of the Redmi, but they are in for a bigger surprise when Xiaomi launches its flagship smartphone, Mi 3 on March 7 in Singapore.

The Chinese phone maker made the announcement today at a media event. Consumers can purchase the Mi 3 from its website on March 7 at a retail price of S$419 (inclusive of GST and without line contract). The three telcos will also be selling the Mi-3.

Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 3 in China last September. It comes with either a NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core 1.8GHz processor or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 <strike>(MSM8974AB) </strike>(MSM8274AB) quad-core 2.3GHz processor, and is available in 16GB and 64GB versions.

For Singapore, Xiaomi will be bringing in the Snapdragon variant with an internal storage capacity of 16GB. Unfortunately, the Mi 3 does not support 4G LTE connectivity. To find out how the Mi 3 fares against the latest Android flagship smartphones, do check out our specs comparison article.
