Singapore is an island, and island hv mostly townships and give face hv a city township addon.

BE was looking for an island in SEA region to established a naval base to block and sink Chinese gunboats through this narrow watercgap, and build opium warehouses to store opium, and opium auction trade center target China market.

So rename BE Singapore as Islander Singapore is more appropriate....

Changi Naval Base could well be used to demarcate the AMDK 7th Fleet repair site.

Dragon Boy, FYI, Singapore is a city-state. Modern Singapore began as an outpost of the British East India Company, The Brits were latecomers to this part of the world. The Portugese and later the Spanish and Dutch all came a couple of centuries early and the British had to dastardly negotiate with the sultanate of Johore to obtain a measly plot of "land". However there is much history to Singapore even bofre the arrival of the Brits. The Sri Vijaya and Majapahit Empires had their swipe at Temasik and the city state changed hands a couple of times. Singapore grew too as the financial trading post for Malaya. The Brits brought the Rubber Plant and Malaysia became the world's supplier of latex for a good number of decades of which SIngapore benefitted, The railways and infrastructure was built and so was the administrativer,, judiciary, medical institutions, educational schools, and military bases and ancillary support services, The intention and purpose was to provide the services for global trade, to which Singapore benefitted till today, Singapore should support the Freedom of Navigation throught the South China Sea as proposed by the United States.

You may have forgotten to add how the Ayutthaya empire also tried to claim Sinkiestan as part of its tributary states.

1819. BE founded Singapore.
If yr history was correct then BE lied about their history Temasek was a virgin swampy island.

A fishing village that the Portuguese Spanish Dutch has not noticed this tiny island.

Portuguese had re-established Malacca township as trading port in Malay Peninsula region. Don't forget the Chinese traders or China were in Malaya SEA region long before the West was here and Malacca was a busting trading ports for the Chinese.

The West followed the Chinese traders wherever there are money to make.

Can be said Chinese discovered Tesmasek long before fucking liar BE 1819 founded Temasek.

Moreover, those days trading boats are sail boats and not much good strong wind or prevailing winds, or seasonal tides or wind, to push sail boats towards the island render the island useless as trading port.

BE has steam boat, fucking stupid technonolgy, that was not wind dependent to sail and cld sail into Tesmasek island and this hide away island are then established as naval base for the BE.

Reconstruct a few Chinese sail trading boats and studied it was true Tesmask island does not hv good wind force to sail boats into the island 365/24.

This will prove Chinese traders bypass Temasek island as useless trading port and Malacca was established as preferred township for Chinese traders....

I am sure, before the chinese traders " founded " singapore, the mats were already there.
