Ever since HSK created Job Support Scheme to motivate, persuade and beg businessmen in SG to retain their employees, and not to retrench or put them on unpaid leave, but according to market talk, it does not work out that way.
HSK's intention is good which is to save SG from massive unemployment or retrenchment in the work force during this Covid pandemic but then, the crooked businessmen in SG, especially those companies owned by foreigners, saw instead an opportunity to use JSS to rip off the Govt for self enrichment.
The rip off is simple.
The crooks paid CPF contributions for non-existent or ghost workers, who were ex-workers, or workers already retrenched and no longer on the payroll, or recruited tua pek kongs as new employees, or putting part time workers as employed when no longer engaged by the crooks, which as far as can be seen on records, these crooks are entitled to collect payout from the Govt under the JSS and, instead of making the payment to the workers, they would just keep the funds in their pockets.
Many lowly educated workers did not know how they had been ripped off too. They might have received workfare payment from Govt since the crooks had already paid CPF contributions for them. They would not have known why the crooks did not pay them the wages after collecting the payout under JSS from the Govt.
How many of these workers would go to CPFB to find out why they still had workfare payment or why CPF contributions were still made in their name although no longer working for the companies owned by the crooks?
Some people say ignorance is bliss as long as there is monetary reward, which is to say, I get money, I do no work. So, who is the sucker and the jackass for allowing these crooks to perpetrate their rip off on the Govt and the workers?
