The PAP Government - through the Elections Department - has surreptitiously altered the polling districts.
The last alteration took place in Jan 2011, with the General Elections following suit in May.
The same pattern was observed in 2006 when GE 2006 was preceded by the release of the new polling district in Jan that year.
What are the signs of a 2014 mid-term election?
Having announced various "feel good" pork barrel packages such as the Pioneer Generation package as well as used its grassroots cronies to attack and smear The Workers' Party in the past few months, are PM Lee and his gang now feeling that the time is right to call for a mid-term endorsement of the PAP, possibly in May?
If this is so, we urge votes to think hard.
How the two major schemes of Medi Shield Life and the Pioneer Generation Package will be financed is still not known.
The recent pronouncements by Gan Kim Yong and Lee himself that everyone should play a part in an "inclusive society" potentially indicate that PAP will look at raising taxes to fund the schemes. This may come after the elections assuming voters are stupid enough to vote them in.
Such a cycle of price increase following every election is in fact not new as can be seen by the slew of hikes after GE 2011.
We urge all Singaporeans to open your eyes to the tricks of the PAP. Otherwise, we will forever be mocked by other countries for lacking in intelligence and thinking that we are getting a good deal when we are being screwed.
