Serious Iran has learnt a lesson: India cannot be trusted

Iran has gone out of its way to woo India, including going to New Delhi to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with India in the middle of last month’s India Pakistan war, India has betrayed Iran in the most shameless way possible.

Two days ago, India announced it dissented from the joint declaration to condemn Israel’s attack from SCO, which both India and Iran belong to. Iran seems totally oblivious to the fact India is the most pro-Israel country in the global south with X showing a 5 to 1 pro-Israel Gaza stance on India social media, comparable to data from Israel itself and even higher than the US, a Jew occupied territory. The Bha-rat empire is a global outlier when it comes to basic human decency.

There are numerous postings on Indian social media that announce “I stand with Israel” in the middle of the genocide. Indian trolls are the most active promoting the Israeli narrative on Gaza. Even better for Israel, the Indian support comes for free – even AIPAC has to bribe US politicians to repeat those heinous talking points.

Iran also seems unaware India is one of the most Islamophobic countries in the world where the Hindus make Muslim prosecution a national sport.

When push comes to shove, it is Pakistan who stood out after Israel launched its attack. Pakistan has publicly committed to support Iran militarily, even offering its “nuclear umbrella” in the event of an Israeli nuclear attack.

Israel's ploy is to drag the US in finish the job for them, at the US' expense.

But Trump is pulled in various directions:
1. His MAGA base is fracturing - a significant proportion don't want him to get the US involved; many right-wingers are isolationist and anti-Semitic
2. He is still hoping to use rhetoric to bully Iran into a ceasefire without involving US troops, but the Iranians won't bite
3. He hates long-running wars because they drain the nation's coffers and he's clueless about how else to reduce the $34 trillion national debt
4. Regime change is going to be messy, because Iran is not Libya or Syria. Iran has 8 nuclear reactors; a failed state nuclear weapons falling in to rogue groups and coming to bite the Israel and the US. Also mopping up the nuclear mess is a never-ending high risk prospect (think Chernobyl)
5. He's not even sure how effective the bunker busters are and whether they would result in radiation leak to the entire region, including US allies in the Gulf
6. Despite everything, he still hopes to pull a rabbit out of the hat, achieve peace between Israel and Iran, and win the Nobel Peace Prize.
