Singapore employment policy is that each must prove their worth, as our founding & forefathers had done. Paper qualifications can only get one a leg up the corporate ladder, but in the end each must prove their worth. If one seeks to be a leader, he/she will have to prove to all those whom they hope to lead DO have the prerequisites - working from the ground level to management level, in order to manage others.
Even our Spore scholars had to go thru that seemingly 'demeaning phase' & only realized later why our Ah Kongs had instituted such. Look deeper even within industry leaders or scions from wise wealthy families in Spore, they too had to work from the bottom up to realize the many factors that makes a company or society successful.
The insignificant nobody me is no racist. EACH is my fellow Human. If one seeks for opportunities in our country, then play by the rules that made us successful, & do NOT, NEVER, EVER import FAILED policies or cultures from one's homeland into our Spore culture & way of life.
