In the USA, McDonald's, KFC, Wendy's, Carl's Jr, In N Out, Pizza Hut, all their pizza and hot dog joints all have pork on their menu, and their stuff taste a whole lot better! Bacon and pork just gives fast food that extra kick and flavour.

Even baked beans taste a lot better with bacon bits and lard in them, not like our sterile tomato based slop.

They just don't give a fuck about the Muslims and orthodox Jews in their country, and rightly so. Why change their excellent cuisine and culture just to accommodate hostile, demanding and unreasonable aliens?

Exactly. You want to eat, you eat. You don't want to eat, don't eat. You can check and ask whether this dish got pork or non-halal ingredient or not. Institutionalising certification for whole restaurants is simply silly and unreasonable to non-Muslims, captive regimentalisation and segregation for Muslims.

Not only that. It is eroding cuisines with rich histories and tradition. As they say, the greatness of any civilisation is reflected in its cuisine (doesn't apply to the Anglo-Saxons of the UK, however). Leaving pork out of the many great historical cuisines of the world is like the Khmer Rouge or the Gang of Four mass killing scholars and destroying every last vestige of local culture and civilisation.

If any proud Italian had dinner at one of our many lame mid-priced Italian restaurants staffed by Malay waiters and realised that they have no pork on their menus, he will declare Holy War on Singapore for allowing such restaurants to desecrate his rich and colourful national cuisine.

I saw this once at a watering hole on Emerald Hill. An Italian expat literally spat out the pizza he was served and had taken a bite out of. "Turkey ham? Turkey bacon? You call this a fuckin pizza?"

Can you imagine French, Italian, Cantonese, Beijing, Sichuan, Japanese, Spanish, German, Thai food without pork or pork ingredients? It is like driving a BMW 5 series powered by a 1.6 litre inline 4.

Thailand has no halal certification. They don't even enforce firearms control or licensing. Muslims and non-Muslims can shoot eat other up and down. Pork is the last of their worries. Anyway, it's eat what you want. Check first for what you cannot or don't want to eat. The same applies to Hindus not eating beef or vegans not eating any meat anywhere in the world. Why Muslim and halal must be so special to force entire restaurants to be certified and restricted?

The part i highlighted in red. An italian expat can complain that there's no pork in his pizza and there would be no problem. Some chinese dishes do serve pork and if a chinese even dared to voice it out guess what? Racism again!

Not only that but i feel the other chinese would actually berate him for acting like this and apologise and bow down to the muslims. There are chinese here that are so used to bend over backwards to accomodate muslims every time they would feel left out of place if they didn't get their regular ass fucking just like the 66% that voted pap.

The deep south Thai Malays* there actually want to seccede from Thailand and rejoin Malaya as Malaysian states. That's the main reason why they're shooting each other. It's a stalemate since Malaysia dare not openly support taking them back too.

Those ethnic Malays in Thailand are the result of failed border diplomacy between the colonial British and the Jap-collaborator Thai govt of WW2. They drew the border lines after WW2 without giving much thought to the ethnicities and races in the region. The sort of nonsense between Thailand and Cambodia that recently happened is also a result of that fucked up border division. The homeless Hmong, the Laotians, the Burmese, all were affected.

They minced mostly pork fats with only bit of pork meat. Fats are cheaper. Then fried pork lard and fried garlic onto your soup.

That's why Singaporeans getting more and more fat. Because they obviously drink lard during supper time.

Yup i know that. Patini used to be a malay kingdom. The 3 southernmost thai states have a majority malay ethnic. The thing is not all dark skinned thais are malays obviously i wonder how do u tell them apart from their facial features cos not all of them have a stereotypical malay or issan look.

Anyway the thais have a saying for southern thais. Khun tai jai dum.

For Ikea chicken wings, I think the supply is Halal as they have a section at the Tampines which sells Halal food. This probably explain the drop in quality.

Wrong. Both BK and Wendy's are also halal. I think the only non-halal burger chain in SGP is Carls Junior. But the prices there are sky high. How I miss the real bacon Mcmuffin in Australia. Cheap and Sedap! Now, if I want a real bacon sandwich, I have to buy raw bacon from Cold Storage and make it at home. Sigh!

For once I do agree with you.

Most slim Malay girls bloom after marriage after a few years and when in their forties can hardly get out of their chairs, being grossly overweight. The Malays love their cokes and syrupy drinks and sweet cakes.

In spite of all discussions on religion, there is actually another religion that dictates all these halalization of restaurants, and thats the religion of money.

Nobody puts a gun to their heads, they just want a bigger pie slice. They counted and realised net effect of being halal is +ve.
For every pork lover they turn away, a muslim and his family steps in.
