Your 1-3 months is notice period governed by your employment contract. Either you serve notice period, or pay up. Likewise, if boss sian of you already -pay you off in lieu of notice. In some 'sensitive' positions, like sales this is often the route. But watch your gardening leave:pBy law are require to pay 1~3 month salary base on agrement with the company.

As for redundancy, there is no statutory quantum -only industry 'practice' (as abalone king says). So no god given right
