How many is many? And how does it compare to other countries?

Personally i believe everybody has it's own reason to migrate. Biggest factors i believe are: work, geographic freedom (yes, SG is very small), weather, family ties, political freedom (to a lesser extent)

Overall, more people are coming than leaving, can't be that bad here

What has integration got to do with what people eat
Whether you are in the US, Canada, Europe, ... you will find a Chinatown selling the foods that asians like to eat. Even angmos enjoy chinese food.

It's really not that difficult to fit-in in a place like Canada. If you need gov't assistance you only need to ask & there are people in the system who's job is to help you.
It's not like you are totally alone. With little effort you can find many ex-Sporeans who have already become citizens. While I was living there I wasn't looking but met many of these people.

You might be right , and those who come back should not waste their time migrant in the first place . I can tell you uncle , 80 % who return back to their country are loser and mostly the reason is $$$ problem . It does not matter if they stay in their own country or they move overseas .. I have seen alot of such people .

the pap system is so bad that many former sinkies including me visit the cuntry every year and spend at least two full weeks over there wishing there's more time. limited vacation time is holding us back. however, if we are retired, we would spend months if not years there enjoying the convenience, cleanliness, cuisine, choices, companionships.
