Stealing may not be honest, but successful stealing is smart. Smarter than being stolen from. I stated generous and magnanimous for different deeds.
I do not rate a country as a superpower based on printing currency, I rate superpower as one that is able to dominate others by either its military or wealth. USA has both.
Yes, China needs American and other markets, heard of Wal-Mart? She does not yet have her own mass markets of sufficient quantity nor wealth to reach the manufacturing volumes. BTW, the top manufacturing industries in China are foreign owned so far. Everyone is clamouring to go to China to set up shop because of cheap labour and lax environmental regulations.
China is a newcomer in Africa, other powers were there before WW1 even. But better late than never,
Intergalactic? China just only started. USA has had the USS Enterprise warping all over the universe since the sixties and Captain Kirk, Picard and other Starfleet commanders saved planet Earth numerous times while China only just accomplished a spacewalk recently. Back on Earth, USA's space program has been contracted out to US private companies. How long more before China's space program funnels down to private companies than rely on state-backed organisations? Now, I'm not looking down at China's space ambitions, but it is still young and teething in its early development.
Cheers!
If you still think the Americans are smart, then you condone stealing. America is the only country right now on this planet actively waging wars with other countries in the guise of liberation and human rights, etc.
Since you insists China needs America, then you might also as well say America needs China.....but isn't it a fallacy to assume that without America, China will fail economically? However, without China, who is going to carry America's national debt, which is in trillions of dollars?
America's space program is passe. So many countries besides China are also going into space, but China is the one with the the most comprehensive space program right now. SpaceX and Tesla by Elon Musk are private entities and soon, China will buy them over, as it is buying many strategic assets in America and the rest of the world.
It is extremely myopic to see China as teething and shaky.....ten years ago, China is nowhere in sight in the superpower league....ten years on now, it is the 2nd largest economic power and in case you think China lacks military supremacy, you'll have to get America to test that statement but why is America so scared? Just look at Snowden's case....he left Hong Kong (part of China) when America told China specifically it wanted Snowden back to stand trial. LOL. Then Snowden left for Russia and America cannot do anything about it. This is not the reception America should be receiving if it is indeed such a superpower that other countries respect and listen to and depend upon for survival.
China was the first foreign superpower in ancient times to land on Africa with ZhengHe.....presently, it is just merely returning to Africa to continue its exploration and this time, it is serious and very thick. Tell me which foreign country can match China in its quiet diplomacy in Africa?
Here is just one of many articles about China in Africa........from the Dailymail...
