By having yet another title, it is as if he has not retired from the govt. Former PM, a normally refer term for an ex-PM is not a title but a description of what the person was. Also those that looked like official trips and meetings, what are those? Do they still have official duties? If they have official duties, then call the spade a spade - say they have not resign. That is what my thread was abt. The title Emeritus MM is inadmissible because the post MM has been abolished, so you cant be retired when the post is no longer existent. The title Emeritus SM meant he could be confused outside Singapore with the wooden block. So the best is chop the title of former PM, and woody wont dare to relabel himself. It is also clearer to the world, not this Emeritus nonsense.
