It started like this.
I got from whatsapp below two message
Don't fall off your chair ---- there are more than 600 full-time lobbyists in Washington DC serving the US military industrial complex. The human devouring machine is not allowed to grind to a halt and so endless wars are lined up or in the making to feed the insatiable monster. The so-called complex is an enemy of the American people and is milking America dry! For them, war is good business, unending wars even better. The elite groups controlling the military industrial complex fear peace more than anything else!
The lobbying industry in the US has seen tremendous growth beginning from the 1970s. Lobbying in the US is a permitted and legitimate activity. It is protected by the Constituition. The 12,000 or so lobbyists, mainly in Washington DC, serve special interests groups and so what residual benefits can accrue to the average American citizen, one may ask? There are noble and laudable objectives in the practice of lobbying but like most things it gets abused and corrupted along the way. Allow me to quote some glaring and unadulterated observations from Wikipedia: "It is a highly controversial phenomenon, often seen in a negative light by journalists and the American public, with some critics describing it as a legal form of bribery or influence peddling or extortion." The unholy 'revolving door' movement is the name of the game where the regulators and the regulated exchange roles on a continuing basis. No one wants to get off the gravy train, and especially not the fat cat lobbyists who live a comfortable existence plying their trade. Singapore is fortunate in that we don't have to put up with this merry band of brothers who are laughing all the way to the banks. The deals from any lobbying activity are caught by the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and are unlawful. No one wants to risk prosecution and so the art and practice of lobbying dies a natural death for the good of Singapore. In fact, Section 11 of the Act specifically deals with "Bribery of Member of Parliament" and so everything is made explicit for avoidance of doubts. I think lobbying is a pernicious practice and we are fortunate that it has no chance to take root in squeaky-clean Singapore!
Objection made by me
. Squeaky clean Stinkapore?
Every aspect and all aspects of Stinkapore STINK
Educate yourself to Chartered Industries of Singapore (CIS). And all the companies linked to MIWs
Above appears to be written by a MIW spin doctor trying to give the innuendo that Stinkapore doesn't stink when the contrary is the true reality.
I was asked about CIS which I recalled reading here
Some angmoh cum special advisor to his eyeballs
Cannot remember if that over APC or guns.
I think some here know and if can guide me to that thread, very much appreciated
