i made the same mistake. instead of taking the train heading for harbour front from paya lebar in order to alight at serangoon with a few stations in transit i ended up taking the train heading to dhoby gaut and there were more stations in transit along the way. and from dhoby gaut i still had to take the northeast line to go to serangoon. if this can happen to me, it can happen to him. it's an honest mistake. let's move along. :p
