How you can finally withdraw all your cpf?????

Very sad story, a case where money that belonged to you cannot help you.

I predict that the CPF will be an issue in the next GE.

For many who are now in their 50's I doubt that they can find a decent paying job because of all the cheap foreign workers in Spore

So long as PAP is still calling the shots .... I don't think I will live to see my CPF

My friend finally managed to withdraw all his CPF
Protected April 26th, 2014
I wish to share with all a short but tragic story regarding our CPF and its ever-changing withdrawal rules.

My friend of more than 30 years hanged himself a few Saturdays ago after his business failed. He was 57 years old this year, and ‘penniless’ due to his failed business and had 2 school-going sons to support.

The irony was that he was ‘penniless’ and yet ‘rich’ because he had more than S$200,000 in his CPF.

In his short suicide note, he wrote that the $200,000 in his CPF should see his children thru school.

Maybe, he thought this was the ultimate sacrifice he had to make so that his children would not have to beg on the streets.

I am asking myself would he have killed himself if he had the $200,000 cash in his bank, instead of locked up and ‘lost’ in CPF?

I am very sure my friend would still be around today if he had $200,000 in his bank instead of in CPF.

What do you think?

I remember some years ago, there was a man who was so poor who jumped into MRT track to kill himself so that his family can collect his CPF money and live on. He was only in his early forties.

That is the unofficial retirement age in Spore.

Wait till they change the rules to say withdrawal only permitted after 80 for natural death! If person died of "unnatural" cause, still must wait till his or hers "natural" birthday.

If you want to commit suicide, it's better to go out with a bang. Strap bombs to your torso and blow the PAP HQ to kingdom come.

Your friend is a victim of the system invented by people without soul and compassion.

Under current situation, all sinkies will not live to see their CPF money. Eventually, the balance will go only to their nominees if they die young. So, we slog day in and day out and what you have in the CPF is not yours to enjoy.

Are you saying that if someone's birthday is 1 Oct and he dies of "unnatural cause" on 1 March, he will have to wait until I Oct before he can withdraw his CPF?

What is the use of withdrawing your CPF when you are already a corpse? It makes sense only to withdraw CPF when you are alive and kicking and able to spend that money on whatever that fancies you.

Yeah, that's why I'm trying to clarify what he meant by that comment................

LOL ............ LOL
