Number of international tourists rises by 4.4% worldwide despite concerns over extremist attacks
The number of international tourists rose by 4.4% worldwide in 2015 to hit a record 1.18 billion despite concerns over extremist attacks, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation has said.
France remained the world’s most popular tourist destination, followed by the United States, Spain and China, according to the Madrid-based body which tracks the number of tourists who made an overnight stay at an international destination.
