They have lots of money to give to their contractors. Every tree chopped is about $200. Its to the interest of the contractors to chop down as many trees for all kinds of reason even if the trees are perfectly healthy. Instant trees are planted, all with weak roots, one sumatra storm alone can uproot a few hundred of them. At least they are planting trees and maintaining gardens for our comfort. Not rent seekers like the other boards.
