this is so conflicting i js need to voice it out.

if a political party which cannot even shoulder their own burden, how could they help to shoulder the voters'?

u need to help yourself first b4 u can help others. but opp party now is resorting to the internet to get donations to help themselves first seem to be quite unethical.

and all becos CHEE SOON JUAN, the national traitor and parasite started this free money-rolling online donation first.

is it LEGAL? if it's not, why are the police and law not investigating and rectify the situation?

Sigh... is it that difficult to understand?

Political parties need political funding. To help the people, the funds need to come from national fund, not political parties fund. But for the longest time PAP has been saying NO, if you don't vote for us, we cut off the national funds. In order to tell PAP national fund is not = PAP fund, you need to vote opposition parties in. Simple logic right?

Then you are speaking of 2 separate issues which should not be mixed.

1) Should political parties seek donation online and is it legal?
2) Can opposition parties who need donation help people?

The answer to 2) is yes... the answer for 1) is why not? but certain guidelines and rules are needed to avoid cyber-begging or cyber-conman as you said

can a beggar help another beggar? it's quite similar that a blind leading another blind.

if the opps cannot even help themselves, how genuine is their passion to help others? i mean all these people who keep their own money in their saving and trying to rely on public donations, then what is really their purpose and their motive?

i find all this rather whimissical and bewildering and conflicting to what they claimed.
