SINGAPORE - He was battling cancer and wheelchair-bound, but Professor Leong Siew Meng of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School continued giving lectures, right up to two weeks before his death.
Prof Leong, who spent more than 30 years at NUS, died in September last year, at the age of 57.
A year later, the NUS Business School has set up a $1.11 million memorial fund in his honour.
It will fund the Leong Siew Meng Memorial Scholarship, various prizes for marketing students, and a bursary for talented students with financial difficulties.
