MOH said all patients suspected of being infected by the coronavirus, which causes the disease officially called Covid-19, must be admitted to hospitals for isolation and management to prevent community transmission.

Who gave paps the money to run the country? Tax payers.

Since all patients admitted to public hospitals in SG can get free treatment, likely to happen - 1. Public hospitals get full house soon. 2. Health care workers put to extreme stress and work overload. How?

All foreigners with half a brain know it pays to visit and stay in SG for as long as permissible until this viral scare is blown over. If kena infection, hospital treatment is free. If no infection, SG is still good bomb shelter from infection compared to health care standard in their kampongs or homeland.

The paps are making suckers out of sinkies, the tax payers.

Why the paps did not want to say free hospitalisation is only available to native sinkies, and not available to even PS and all foreigners.
The paps surely asking sinkies to kick them out in next GE.

Actually that's the standard practice all over the world. Japan is a good example.

Can't really send them back, to prevent cross-infections.

All that saved up taxpayer money isn't going to be given to you anyway, maybe expect some pre-election bribery cash payouts every few years, and that's it.

INITIATIVES

Other help initiatives announced yesterday include:

  • A $77 million package to help taxi and private-hire drivers withstand a sharp drop in business during this period. The Government is contributing $45 million, with taxi and private-hire companies topping up the package. About 40,000 drivers will qualify for a $20 relief daily for three months from today. All main taxi hirers and private-hire drivers who completed at least 200 trips a month from October to December last year will be eligible. Those who do not qualify can tap a $2.7 million fund set up by the Government and the National Trades Union Congress.
  • Banks are rolling out relief packages for their customers, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). They include DBS Bank offering a six-month debt moratorium on principal repayments for property loans to SMEs and mortgages for home owners, OCBC Bank restructuring customer loans and providing a moratorium on principal repayment and United Overseas Bank unveiling a $3 billion package for corporate customers, especially SMEs.
  • The Government is paying the hospital bills in full of coronavirus patients who are admitted to public hospitals. This coverage does not extend to outpatient treatment at general practitioner clinics or polyclinics, nor does it apply to treatment sought at private medical facilities, the Ministry of Health said yesterday. - ADDITIONAL REPORTING BY OSMOND CHIA

This shows that the PAP really is the best!

The PAP loves foreigners and love to use our tax money on them. Sinkies can go get fucked.

Blessing in disguise for them. Now they can spend as much as they want to collect political points using public funds
