On my to do list when covid restrictions are lifted...

The #1 hike is 55km. You probably need to camp.

Here are some links for good hikes around Banff, Lake Louise, Columbia Icefields Parkway. If you heading to Waterton Lakes also the Crypt Lake hike is supposedly a must do.

Thanks for the links, will check them out later.

Camping in the open is not my kind of thing, so will probably give #1 a miss and if combined with a hike means have to carry all that camping gear and food. Reminds me of 20km route march under the hot sun in Tekong except no helmet and rifle

On the other hand, I have done some car camping and it's quite fun.

Useful video for some car camping tips on next adventure. These two sounds like they are from Vancouver (the chap mentioned Stanley Park when comparing trees at the beginning of the video)...

Why the CBSA officers must carry guns...very scary when they check your bags or ask you questions.

Snowing again. We had our first snow on Sunday.

Usually when I see the 2nd snow then I consider winter has come. First one can be freak.

My favorite season. When it snows it is quiet. Peaceful. Winter also means skiing.

Generally winter weather not chaotic and fierce like summer - heat wave, tornado, flooding, rain, thunderstorm, hail, wild fire and smoke.

Just cold and snow.

best are the bluebird days. Clear blue skies. Snow on the ground. Very bright and lighted up. Cool fresh air.
