【本報訊】沙中線紅磡站的擴建月台連續牆早前被揭擅改設計，由原本的螺絲帽接駁改為拆去部分牆頂及以整條鋼筋直接穿過層板，港鐵曾指新設計較原來方案更好。不過政府委聘的專家就設計改動進行多項計算後，提出不同意見，認為設計改動而新增的接駁位，其承受的剪應力（shear stresses）超出結構可承受範圍，會影響整體結構的完整性及安全性。
指設計顧問數據不可信
本報取得相關計算報告，顯示政府委聘的獨立結構工程專家、香港大學土木工程系教授及系主任區達光的該項新意見，區最近根據設計顧問提供的數據，分析東面連續牆設計改動後的受力情況，指出牆身力矩所產生的力，可能轉移到月台層板，但層板頂部的鋼筋未必有足夠承受力，故可能影響結構並會產生裂紋。
相關分析報告又質疑，設計顧問提交的數據「可信性成疑」，因接駁位的力學數據與層板數據根本無法達致平衡狀態。

[Reporter] The expansion wall of the expansion platform of the Shazhong Line Hung Hom Station was previously revamped and designed. The original screw cap connection was changed to remove some of the wall tops and the entire steel bar was directly passed through the laminate. Iron has said that the new design is better than the original plan. However, after the government commissioned the experts to carry out a number of calculations on the design changes, different opinions were expressed. The newly added joints of the design changes were subject to shear stresses beyond the structural tolerance and would affect the integrity of the overall structure. Sex and safety.

The newspaper obtained relevant calculation reports, showing the new opinion of the independent structural engineering expert appointed by the government, the professor of civil engineering of the University of Hong Kong and the deputy director of the University of Hong Kong. The district recently analyzed the design of the east continuous wall based on the data provided by the design consultant. After the change of the force, it is pointed out that the force generated by the wall torque may be transferred to the platform, but the steel at the top of the laminate may not be sufficiently strong, which may affect the structure and cause cracks.
The relevant analysis report also questioned that the data submitted by the design consultant was “trustworthy”, because the mechanical data of the connection and the layer data could not reach equilibrium.
