【on.cc東網專訊】反修例示威持續逾4個月，警方需要使用大量催淚彈驅散人群。消息指，外國供應的催淚彈存貨已到達臨界點，警方擬陸續換上國產催淚彈，國貨不但較輕，爆發時間較外國貨快0.3秒，警方已向前線警員講解新催淚彈的特性及使用方法。
據悉，警方擬引入的催淚彈來自中國，型號為「Jing An」KF-302-20 CS Grenade，外形像保溫杯，重量只有570克，外邊圍上硬橡膠，施放後1.2秒爆發，內有20粒彈藥，施放後可持續15至25秒。
警方於過去4個月的反修例示威中，曾使用數以千計的催淚彈，且有不斷上升趨勢。資料顯示，由6月初至8月初已使用過千枚，單在本月1日便使用1400枚，消耗量極大。事實上，警方曾被發現使用過期催淚彈，顯示貨源捉襟見肘，加上多個人權組織曾去信歐美各國，禁止向香港警方供應催淚彈，港警有需要向其他地方引入，由內地供應最為便利。
