The rich Hongkies are pro Beijing. it's the disenfranchised youth and the blue collars that want to bring down the system
When you live in a flat as big as a carpark lot, I don't think you have much to lose when you protest every weekend

Does anyone know what the protestors are demanding? The extradition bill is already shelved yet the protests are getting more frequent and disruptive.

The HK youth are asking for independence like the east Berlin demonstrations in 1989 which led to the end of Soviet socialism. But the difference is US isn't rallying behind the Hongkies like back 89. So expect hongkie blood to be spilled
Shelved but not withdrawn. Not constitutional expert here so I assume the Bill could be tabled again at some point and protestors want assurances.

Majority of Chinese all over the world now begin to despise the Hongkies more rather than sympathise with their movement. Most of the protesters are nothing more than rioters, anarchists and attention whores. Anti-extradiction law is just a pretext right from the word go.

The 30% are not poor...it is the PAP that is poor...that is why they have to raise GST etc.for the "poor". How can anyone be poor in Stinkperpore....you offer $54 for a mobile phone you get a long line & police have to be called in for protesters...you get tears in your eyes looking at that scene & wanting to gas the protestors...

What poor? 30%, 70%?...no!..it is the PAP that is poor ..poor thing they worked so hard for so many years & have to increment...please help the por...raise their salaries by raising GST & etc..

poor..?? who?

Not this.
Jimmy lai
There will be a few outliers who only rely on the local HK market like Jimmy lai. Any rich Hongkie tycoon who's made their pile had relied the China market.

That said, there are also a number of pro-democracy politicians who have been holding on to 2 passports - HK and UK/Canadian etc. These are the real shit stirrers who have nothing to lose if HK goes to shit

The HK and Chinese government also needs to be shown face. How can they just tear up the bill because of protests? They don't want to set a precedence for the future.

The initial protests have already gotten what they've want and now they're asking for too much

Those Hongkies burning paper offerings are really jiaksai and taksai; despite all their years of education. Not only pollute the air but totally ineffective and laughable. Carrie Lam has more protective charms and amulets than they think.
