THe civil service in Singapore is grossly overpaid. Singapore is one of the smallest countries in the world but have the highest paid civil servants. How does a country so small afford to pay such high salaries? Even such high salaries does not help in corruption. As we know there are many facets to corruption and bribery.

It is a pity that not a single one of the online media has touched deeply on how to lower corruption without ridiculous salaries for the civil service. The online media in Singapore is another PAPzi creation. It has occasionally led to new findings but the dedicated online media is still a compliant prostitute.

It is simple to employ that all civil servants declare their assets once a year. If they can commit to declaring their taxes, they should find it not difficult to declare their assets. Does this not lead to excessive salaries and provides a large reason why the income disparity in Singapore is such a major issue? It is the PAPzi government that has been overpaying their civil servants and thus, themselves all these years.

Can you imagine the Commissioner of Police in Singapore earns much more than the Commissioner of Police in New York? One runs a playground while the other runs a true Police Force.

The issue is two-fold. The huge salaries are accorded to a group at the top sphere. This ridiculously high salary is not commensurate with their job scope and difficulties. Then there is the case that lower rung officers are also underpaid for thei scope of work. This discrepancy is rampant not just throughout the civil service but throughout the entire GLC and all GLC related landscape. The fact that the government is the largest employer shows clearly that the huge wage inequality is due to none other than the PAPzi government and their policies.

I do not have the figures but you should be pretty close. Was told KBH, whatever his superscale grade etc was drawing between 30-35k when he was CP. A new mata mata then would have gotten close to 1.8k?
