A two-storey bungalow in Clementi was suspected to have been struck by lightning in the evening on Thursday, Nov. 10, according to eyewitnesses as reported in The Straits Times.

This caused the roof to catch fire, which subsequently burned down.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force rushed to the scene at 9 Sunset Place at around 5.30pm.

The fire, which was burning through the second floor of the house, was brought under control in 20 minutes.

There were no reported injuries.
