HDB Lift So Small.....How People Deliver Bed & Mattress ???

just wondering hor..........since HDB lift is so small and narrow, how people deliver a queen or king size bed or mattress huh ?

the bed maybe come in pieces to be assembled............but mattress leh ?

they try to fold mattress and squeeze into life.............or they really carry it up to whatever floor ah ?

All HDB flats have their lifts tailored to cope with queen size mattresses. King size will be a problem, especially 12-inch thick mattresses.
If you purchase a mattress you will have to give your delivery address to the vendor, if he sees an HDB address he will explain to you the problem and surcharge for transporter to lift the mattress via staircase. In some cases it might not even be possible to use the staircase if it is too narrow.
Most delivery guys are Malays, ah nehs are poor delivery guys - they pretend to be using a lot of strength but they eat snake.

2. honest, many of aussie doc friends that came visiting.
3. also commented on the size of the public housing lifts.
4. the regular ambulance stretcher/bed may not be able to fit into the lift.
5. if the patient in question needs to be lifted.
6. a "standing" bed or stretcher may not be that good after all.

Maybe you should pose this question to the Rectal Surgeon?? or to Dr. "Bargain Hen"??? on the size of the HDB lifts? does it conform to SCDF, BCA, URA ?? standard or HDB has a building code that differs from BCA, URA?? I wouldn't be surprised!
