He is still enjoying all the benefits and power.

Do not forget that when he travels he get his bodyguards, senior state doctors, first class flight and hotel for him and his staff etc

His office is still the Istana.

Has he really resigned and given up power?????

Some benefits has also to be given to Woody in order to justify giving to him. Of course Woody as usual will get and enjoy until the senior Lee finally rise up.

Let us cut out the pretense and appoint him as Executive President for life! Why not go all the way and make it hereditary?

The personal secretaries part i agree

the bodyguards parts I disagree--all former leaders of the country have bodyguard protection

Yes I agree. The PM should spell it out and not be wishy washy. Has he retired or is he working for Singapore? If he is, for goodness sake give the man an appointment, job responsibilities, salary scale and etc. Don't confuse the people especially those who are MPs and the people. Can Prataman say something for once and not just say "I did immeasurable work."

Why should he have an army of body guards?
Isn't Spore a safe place:confused:

If Spore were to follow what "other" countries were doing we wouldn't have millionaire civil servants:rolleyes:

Who would want to mug an unemployed 80+ year old man? Cheaper to assign 2 or 3 maids as minders to keep him out of mischief, rather then an army of bodyguards.
