PUCHONG, MALAYSIA - The body of an unidentified man was found washed up on the banks of the Klang river near Jalan 5/1, Taman Perindustrian Puchong.
The deceased, who was handcuffed at the back, was discovered by a group of people at about 7.30pm yesterday.
Serdang OCPD Supt Abd Razak Elias said the victim had slash wounds on his head and abdomen.
"There were no identification documents on the victim, but we found a restaurant receipt in his pocket," he said when met at the scene.
He added police have yet to determine if the man was a local or a foreigner.
"The man was most likely murdered elsewhere and dumped into the river. The handcuffs bore the word BOSS on them and could be foreign made," Supt Abd Razak said.
He said the body was sent to Serdang Hospital yesterday.
"We urge anyone who has a missing family member to contact the nearest police station," he said.
The case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
