The body of a 69-year-old man was found floating in waters along Queen Elizabeth Walk on Nov 13.

Stomper Grace shared photos of police officers and a police tent at the scene at around 11.30am.

She said she was passing by the Esplanade Bridge, but did not see or hear anything unusual.

The police told Stomp that they received a call for assistance at about 9am.

The man's body was subsequently retrieved from the waters and he was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic.

Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Simply look at the structures of the floor and the stairs in the photo. An utter death trap. It is no rocket science why people would easily trip and fall into the water.
