Evangelism is too soft a cross to shoulder, the best advice for him would be:

We did not write the bible and can't be responsible for whoever acted on it according to their faithfulness.

Does not wanting the blood of an innocent being equate to rejecting "redeeming blood"?
How can justice be served by executing an innocent man and his blood be redeemptive for the crimes or sins of others? And most absurdly the unknown sins into the infinite future! If he and his fellow believers really support this doctrine, would he volunteer his child for Adolf Hilter's crimes? I believe he is just another lip-servicing believer that praised the Lord Jesus Christ(King of King blah blah) to the sky for the sake of wanting a ultimate reward in return.

Believers want Christ's redemptive blood. Believers want so much from Christ.

The believers are believers of self-ism. They want abundant of blesses and rewards for themselves, but punishments and condemnations for others including their non-believing parental fathers and mothers and up-lineage.

The big question is how do you know this is the real one and not other deities that our forefathers had worshiped before. I think God must show Himself that He is God, the Lord. So, God has to be fervent and hardworking enough to show strange 'magic' shows obviously. Miracles, perhaps.
He can always start from something small and basic like speaking in tongues. Oh, you will be surprise. It is not just that - an unknown language to you but yet it is a known foreign language found on The Earth, spoken by Man. Once you have that, many other things will follow. And you will be surprise again.

Morality In Atheism ?
Can there be moral without the existence of a god ? Can you be law abiding without the law ? No, this is different.
First, there is no law. And so, there is no consciousness about what you are doing as good or bad, right or wrong. There is no standard to do checks and balances.
Animals just do what they need to survive and there is no need of a moral obligation to act as leashes to tether their actions.
As for Man, the same. Why should he care ? Whether he had sex with another man's woman or stealing another man's goat as being right or not is inconsequential. He lives. He's not dead. There is nothing to make him unhappy here; but yet, he has much to gain. So, that must be right. He will carry on to steal and to have sex with another man's woman. What moral do you want talk about here ? There is no conscience to prick his heart here. Conscience is science. Science is knowledge. And this knowledge can ONLY come from God. Such information cannot come from a strange materialistic earth or nature.

Genesis 1:3 in the original Hebrew text would read "In the beginning the Elohim created Heaven and Earth" The Elohim was swapped with the word God in the English translation. Elohim in Hebrew is translated as Gods and Goddesses or a dual gendered deity, but it was simply put as God in English.

By supporting, worshipping, praising and promoting this fictitious bibilical God, believers' normal moral and legal inhibitors are erased. By legally accepting God's murders, all the average believer needs is an excuse to kill. There are real cases of God believers believing they are entitled to take another innocent life.
