1 Workers’ Party and 6 PAP MPs have attended all 132 sittings of parliament. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and cabinet members like Lawrence Wong and Chan Chun Sing have also been present for most sittings, with an attendance of 131, 130 and 129 sittings respectively. Meanwhile, Workers’ Party leader Low Thia Khiang and his successor Pritam Singh both attended 127 and 129 sittings respectively.

Amongst elected MPs, S Iswaran, Lim Swee Say and Fatimah Lateef attended the least number of sittings, with 106, 96 and 98 respectively.

Lim Sia Suay and Big Ears Lateef are history now. West Coast temple patron Iswaran is still around, and he prefers to go to his motherland.

Lim Swee Say too busy trying out the toothpicks in Chinese restaurants all over SG.:biggrin:

He is very steady in SAF. Very very committed and on the ball.

PAP look a lot at how well you perform as reservist too. If you sacrifice time and take up leadership roles go for courses. Become senior officer. They will respect you and reward you.

NS is very important.

How many times are MPs allowed to be absent from parliament? Is there a limit?

Last time got 1 very old MP also never go Parliament...sit wheelchair and need people to push him around but still is an MP of a GRC.

Still an MP until he died...very chum.

And they always wonder why our SG productivity rate is so low....cannot think out of their box ?

38,000 citizens per every MP is a big joke in any democracy.....
