This could be easily prevented with a pepper spray or taser. Is it legal to own one in Mutland?
I think the locals will laugh at you when you tell them get pepper spray.
They will imagine black pepper shaker bottle.

Don't think Mutland people are so stupid. Furthermore, people need to be taught how to defend themselves in these type of situation. Pepper spray or Mace, don't need direct contact. As long as it's being inhaled. It's potency can choke you out.

Armed snatch theft suspect arrested by Selangor cops

PETALING JAYA: Selangor police have arrested a 25-year-old man who is believed to be a suspect in a snatch theft in Kuala Langat this morning, after a video clip of the incident going viral on social media.
The 97-second clip showed a woman who just alighted from her parked car and was heading to a nearby office building, when she was chased, then attacked by the suspect who was carrying a parang. He snatched her handbag after she had fallen on the pavement.
In a statement, the Selangor police contingent confirmed that the incident had occurred along Eco Sanctuari, Jalan 8/2A, Telok Panglima Garang in Kuala Langat, Selangor at around 8.20am.
“The victim is a woman of Chinese descent aged 51, who made a police report regarding the incident at the Telong Panglima Garang police station,” the police said.
The Serious Crimes Division (D9) of the Selangor police contingent’s headquarters arrested the suspect in Shah Alam at about 4pm, according to the statement.
“During the arrest, police seized several items believed to belong to the snatch theft victim in this case.”
The Selangor police thanked all those involved in assisting the police and providing information to successfully arrest the suspect

Thr problem is, suspect goes free after posting bail and continue doing same old thing. They should detain suspect if he has another crime case waiting trial of under investigation. Bail should be denied on grounds of threat to community.

In Canada they will tell the victim be thankful you are alive. Not hurt much. Just lost some property and money. You are lucky. And then file the case go back eat Tim Horton's donuts.

In Vancouver, there are ABCs serving in RCMP , especially in and around Richmond, doesn’t mean they are more efficient though these ABCs have adopted the laid back work attitude of their adopted country.

Yes indeed. The police in Canada are untouchables.
They go in for wellness checks with attitude and tend to pull their guns and shoot dead those they are supposed to check on as well.
Meanwhile when it comes to crime the only thing they will investigate is murder.
Other than that they just file the case and go back to watching moose.

In 1995, I was also robbed by 2 fuckers near Pelangi. One of them had a fruit knife. I could have easily disarmed him and beat the crap out of them. But I only had RM 64 on me. They were more interested in my Rolex watch. So I gave them the RM 64 and the watch. But I was laughing inside cos the Rolex was a fake! Bought it in Guangzhou. Not even an A 货. They must have cursed me and my mother terok terok when they tried selling it.

Luckily they approached me when I was walking to buy something. I had RM 500+ in my car at that time.
If I encounter such case it is either me or them going to die. More likely me. But will try to kill them.
Like that robber instead of running away from him which gives him advantage with his parang allowing him greater reach I will go in close and compact then explode all over try to hit him grab the parang arm then get him to ground and take parang and hack him. Hack until he is minced. Killed. One less problem in the world.
Oh and if can I will feast on his tongue and eyeballs.
