All along, I never accept the Govt to gives us money. Since it was given, must well take it.
It all started with GCT and now LHL. The public will tends to ask for more the next time and became a precedence. It will make us more vunerable. Humans can never be satisfied, particularly the poor.
I remembered LHL once said " Nothing in this world is free, somebody got to pay for it"

You can't prevent them from taking that dollar. So you are grateful that they give back 10 cents.

You can't prevent them from giving themselves x% rise in salary. So you are grateful that they cared enough about singapore to reduce it by 20%.

Singaporeans cannot prevent a lot of things. So they are grateful for the small things that come their way every few years. Government helping us out. Opposition MP making furore. PAP showing their concern for us.
