NS men are already overpaid. They get a great allowance plus all board and lodging and food is paid for. The whole package is worth at least $3000 which is excellent remuneration for an 18 year old.

It's not 5 star but it is healthy and balanced. The lodging is excellent too. It is far better compared to what I had to put up with before LKY came to power.

I grew up in a leaky atap hut with no electricity, no running water and no toilet. I had to shit in a bucket shared with 50 others.

Most people are stuck in prison. With NS, you're free to book out whenever there is no training plus there is so much to do in camp it's almost utopia. I loved my NS day and look back fondly on the experience. I often wish I could do it all over again.
