The authority has stopped issuing islandwide license. Soon or later, you cannot find such ice-cream stalls in Orchard road 'cos they cheapened Orchard Rd image & these ice-creams are not fit for consumption for 'our' foreigners . In future, you will only find such stalls in HDB estates...........:(.......sad for HDB dwellers who are fit for such consumption.....

That'd be sad. Singaporeans don't earn so much that they can go and eat Ben's and Jerry's, Swensen(sp) and other more expensive western-type ice cream everyday.

These folks should be allowed, within a set of more realistic regulations to keep on selling and being self-employed. They are already being forced to work, despite being so old. And if you take away their business too, that's rubbing salt into the wounds.
