Living in Australia - known as the lucky country as it is a self sufficient continent with vast resources of its own, is great, until one realizes that one has to pay 40% in personal taxes, which essentially means one has to work 1 yr, but only gets to keep 5.2 months of ones own efforts in terms of annual salary, and thus the rich resource Nation that is Australia citizens would not hesitate to take ANY OFFICIAL LEAVE from work granted, under European standards such as annual leave, medical leave, compassionate leave, no pay leave, etc, but still a zero sum game for both workers and employers....

We taxpayers in Singapore had done everything we could, for every Singaporean born male and female, by creating education, fair employment, and much, much more for OPPORTUNITIES to rise, unlike other even Asian Nations that saw little opportunities in life and had to sell even their souls to foreign countries, just to pitifully put food on the tables for their loved ones at home left behind by their societies......

I wish the naive young lady all the best, and may she grow up one day, not just grow old, just like the many other fellow courageous male or female citizens of our country whom chose to remain to build and evolve our People and Nation further......
