I purchase fake sd cards and USB memory flash drives from eBay and Amazon knowing that i can open a ticket / dispute and get my money back. Then i'll do reviews and pass it on to my subordinates who are involve with syndicates so that they can resell it - like what what others are doing. :D But buyers protection are unreliable or non existent for other e-commerce sites that hosts dishonest vendors.

Even Jack Ma has problem with fakes. You think other have good solution

Ok but would u rather buy from reliable e-commerce sites where buyers are in favor of getting their money back or others that will ignore your complaints and sweep your ticket under the carpet? :D

Take this example where SanDisk the manufacturer is advertising at Amazon. Any issues u can settle it with the manufacturer, not some dishonest rogue vendors who are resellers.

in Taobao, some sellers paid buyers CNY $1, SG$0.20 for a positive review.

when buying items online, I always read the negative reviews. the negatives might tell you more about the item than the positives. ;)

But the thing about Gearbest is... u go to their site, u will only find positive reviews as negative reviews are deleted. All reviews are moderated. Only positive ones will see the light of day. It's like GOLD 90 FM - Only hear the good stuffs :D

I have been happily using Aliexpress from their beginning. Cool.

Why is there a need to specify "dishonest" when talking about a China e-commerce website?

Just say China e-commerce website, will be enough. No need to be repetitive.

Yes i have made one purchase from that site without any problem. It's the same with every e-commerce site, u are happy if everything went smoothly. :D

Also at Gearbest, what u see on photos and the actual product is not the same. The country of manufacture is not the same as advertised.

Some vendors displays only the sd card photo sample but without the packaging. Avoid.

With packaging like the sample below, it's easier to tell if they are fakes but then u can still be fooled.

when u shop online, it's a risk u are taking.. it's too good to be true and likely to be fake when it's too cheap, but bad when vendors charges a normal price or discounted price only to give u a fake.

Since Gearbest deletes negative reviews at their site, u can only find true voices at review sites like Trustpilot and other similar review sites but i suspect Gearbest bribe customers to write fake positive reviews. :D

At GB, not only do u have to deal with rogue vendors selling fakes but also with GB customer service.

I have been sold fakes by Aliexpress retailers as well. The redeeming factor is that you can file a complaint and get your money back.
